DITC 2018 Best Practices Award Winner
The Diversity and Inclusion Theme Committee (D&ITC) and the Practice Theme Committee (PTC) of the Academy of Management are proud to announce the winner of the 2018 AOM D&ITC Diversity & Inclusion Best Practices Award, which will be awarded at this year’s Annual Academy of Management Meeting in Chicago. Congratulations to the winner!
- The 2018 D&ITC Award is given to the Organization and Management Theory Division for addressing the needs of their division regarding interacting with new members, through the following long-term initiatives: 1) OMT cafes for casual meetups with members; 2) “OMT Bike” which provided an informal outdoor approach to connecting with each other; 3) a new member workshop which created opportunities for new members to interact with established division members; 4) increasing reviewer engagement and 5) the addition of many off-site conference events created to engage new and current members

The Diversity and Inclusion Theme Committee (D&ITC) of the Academy of Management is proud to announce the winners of the two 2017 AOM D&ITC Awards for diversity and inclusion of members which will be given at this year’s Annual Academy of Management Meeting in Atlanta. Congratulations to the winners and also to all nominees!
- The D&ITC Award is given to Gender and Diversity in Organizations (GDO) Division for improvement in member diversity and inclusion through practices such as Publishing Diversity Research Workshop, Mentor-mentee match at consortium, GDO on the market, and Tales from a script, among others, and the Division’s vision for, and impact on, diversity and inclusion.
- The D&ITC Award is given to Strategizing Activities and Practices (SAP) Interest Group for 1) increasing the interaction and networking of our diverse members during the Annual Meeting; 2) developing comprehensive support for doctoral students and early career scholars; 3) integrating new members quickly into the SAP community; 4) facilitating ongoing community building with our members outside the Annual Meeting.
